Wireless communication devices belonging to Lebanese Hizballah (LH) militants detonated, wounding at least 100 people, in several areas of Lebanon on Sept. 18. Explosions reportedly occurred in the LH stronghold of Dahieh, areas near the border with Israel, and Beqaa Governorate. A blaze has been reported in at least one residential apartment block in Beirut, likely as a result of the explosions. It currently remains unclear how many casualties there may be.
Local authorities are expected to carry out security operations in the affected areas, which may include measures like checkpoints and vehicle inspections, potentially leading to localized transportation disruptions.
