Emergency crews are responding to an explosion and subsequent fire at a fuel station in south Makhachkala on Sept. 27. According to emerging reports, the explosion in the city's Novy Khushet district killed at least three people, injuring at least three more. Authorities have partially closed the E119 highway to facilitate the emergency response. The blast partially collapsed the fuel station and damaged nearby power lines; power outages in neighboring areas have been reported.
