Labor unions plan workers' rally in Ozgecan Aslan Square, Mersin, Sept. 13. The DISK (Confederation of Revolutionary Trade Unions) confederation will demand greater workers' rights. It is likely that several hundred to low thousands will take part, based on previous events. It was not immediately clear when the event will start.
Authorities will almost certainly deploy a heightened security presence to monitor the event. Localized transport disruptions are possible. The rally is likely to pass off peacefully.
