US: Rail transport disruptions affect trains traveling into and out of Pennsylvania Station in New York, N.Y., due to local derailment Sept. 25

A train derailment has occurred south of Pennsylvania Station (NYP) in New York, New York, on Sept. 25, blocking the tracks and delaying trains traveling into and out of the station. Amtrak authorities have estimated that its customers traveling in the area would experience consequent delays of at least 30-60 minutes. Officials did not immediately provide an estimated time at which the derailed train would be cleared from the tracks and the rail transport delays would abate.
