The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado warning for the city of Danville and parts of Pittsylvania County, in southern Virginia, and parts of Caswell County, North Carolina, on Sept. 27. The warning is in effect until at least 12:00, and areas under the warning include Danville, Mount Hermon, and Blairs. The tornado warning could be extended or expanded on short notice.
