The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado warning for parts of the Huntington-Ashland Metropolitan Area, including Boyd, Greenup, and Lawrence counties along the Kentucky-Ohio state line on Sept. 27. The warning is in effect until at least 15:30, and areas under the warning include the cities of Ashland, Ky., Ironton, OH, and Flatwoods, Ky. The tornado warning could be extended or expanded on short notice.
