The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado warning for parts of southwestern Virginia and southeastern West Virginia on Sept. 25. The warning is in effect until at least 20:30 and covers east-central Tazewell County and north-central Bland County, Virginia, as well as southwestern Mercer County, West Virginia, including Bluefield. The tornado warning could be extended or expanded on short notice.

Seek shelter immediately in areas covered by the warning. Be prepared to quickly move to a safe location if new warnings are issued. Postpone driving until weather conditions improve.
