France: Fire on train prompts suspension of rail services at Strasbourg-Ville Station in Strasbourg Oct. 10

Authorities are responding after a fire broke out on a train at Strasbourg-Ville Station in Strasbourg on the afternoon of Oct. 10. Rail traffic at the station is suspended until at least 18:00, and several trains have been canceled. Firefighters are on the scene, and reportedly evacuated at least part of the station.

Disruptions and heightened security will likely continue in the hours after service resumes. Additional cancelations are possible.
