Climate activists plan to march from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II to 173 Via Prenestina in Rome from 15:00 on Nov. 16. The purpose of the demonstration is to demand that leaders attending the COP29 climate conference take urgent action to combat climate change. Approximately 3,000 participants are expected.
Police will likely deploy along the march route to facilitate the procession. The march will likely disrupt vehicular transport along the march route. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers, frustrated motorists, or opposed individuals cannot be ruled out.
