UK: London Underground strikes slated for Nov. 7 and Nov. 12 canceled following talks between management and union leaders /update 2
Union suspends strikes originally slated for Nov. 7 and 12 on London Underground in UK. Tube service to operate normally on both dates.
Strikes by train operators and other rail staff affiliated with the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) originally slated to impact the London Underground system on Nov. 7 and 12 have been canceled as of Nov. 5. The move comes as union leaders and Transport for London (TfL) management resumed negotiation in their ongoing salary dispute. TfL has announced that underground services will now operate normally on both dates.
