A brush fire is disrupting Amtrak railway services between New York City's Penn Station (NYP) and New Haven-Union Station (NHV) in the neighboring state of Connecticut as of the afternoon of Nov. 12. According to the carrier, all services between the two stations have been suspended through the end of the day. Authorities have also indicated that effects could potential extend along the Northeast Corridor as far as Boston South Station (BOS).
Residual disruptions could continue into at least the early hours of Nov. 13 as Amtrak works to reposition rolling stock and clear any passenger backlog.
