Activists are demonstrating at the Katuaq Culture Center in Nuuk as of early evening Dec. 10. The purpose of the demonstration is to denounce authorities' implementation of parental competency tests. It remains unclear how many participants may ultimately attend.
Police will likely monitor the gathering out of an abundance of caution. Localized traffic disruptions are possible, depending on the number of attendees. Though unlikely, low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
