India: All flights canceled at Srinagar Airport Dec. 28

Officials have canceled all flights at Srinagar Airport (SXR) on Dec. 28 due to adverse winter weather conditions. Heavy snowfall since Dec. 27 has disrupted operations across the city and surrounding region. Road blockages and power failures have also been reported. It is not clear when normal operations at SXR will resume.

Disruptions could persist through Dec. 29 as officials work to clear the flight backlog. In the coming days, additional closures or disruptions are possible at SXR and other regional airports.
