Mexico: Flight disruptions at Tijuana International Airport in Tijuana ongoing as of Dec. 23

Flight disruptions likely to continue at Tijuana International Airport in Tijuana, Mexico, Dec. 23, due to dense fog affecting the area.

Warning

Flight disruptions will likely continue at Tijuana International Airport (TIJ) in Baja California into at least the early evening of Dec. 23 due to dense fog affecting the area. Airport officials have canceled, delayed, and rerouted several flights since late Dec. 22, at times temporarily closing the terminal.

Residual flight disruptions may persist for several hours after conditions improve and full operations resume as airlines reposition aircraft and work through their passenger backlogs.

Confirm flight reservations if scheduled to travel via TIJ. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider making alternative arrangements for time-sensitive travel if necessary.
