Activists to march from Plaza San Martin to Congreso de la Republica in Lima, Peru, from 13:00 Dec. 7.
Activists will demonstrate in Lima on Dec. 7 in support of families under the banner "March for Life." Lima Mayor Rafael Lopez Aliaga is supporting the action. Participants will gather in Plaza San Martin from 13:00 and then march towards Congreso de la Republica. Hundreds of people are likely to participate in the action.
Heightened security is likely near the gathering points and along the marching route (Avenida Nicolas de Pierola / Abancay Avenida). Disruptions to road travel are likely near all sites. Another planned gathering by transport workers in the same area on Dec. 7 could aggravate disruptions. Clashes are unlikely.
As a standard precaution, avoid the protest. Plan for localized ground travel delays. Heed official instructions.
