US: High volume prompting disruptions to arriving flights at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida Dec. 26

Warning

Flight disruptions, including delays, will likely continue at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) Dec. 26 due to high volume impacting the airport. As of around 14:15 EST, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued ground delay programs for the facility until at least 01:00 Dec. 27. Delays have been averaging up to 167 minutes at PBI. The FAA may modify or rescind the air traffic control programs on short notice.

Disruptions are possible through late Dec. 26 and early Dec. 27, even after conditions improve as airlines work to clear passenger backlogs.

Confirm flight reservations if scheduled to arrive via PBI through at least early Dec. 27. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider making alternative arrangements for time-sensitive travel if necessary.
