Severe weather causing flight disruptions at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, US, Dec. 24.
Flight disruptions, including delays and cancellations, are likely to continue at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) on Dec. 24 due to severe weather impacting the area. As of around 11:00 CST, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued ground delay programs for the facility until at least 18:00. Delays have been averaging up to 154 minutes at DFW. The FAA may modify or rescind the abovementioned air traffic control programs on short notice.
Disruptions are possible through late Dec. 24 and early Dec. 25, even after conditions improve as airlines work to clear passenger backlogs.
Confirm flight reservations if scheduled to travel via DFW through at least early Dec. 25. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider making alternative arrangements for time-sensitive travel if necessary.
