Officials at Santiago International Airport (SCL), also known as Arturo Merino Benitez and Nuevo Padahuel airport, temporarily closed one of the terminal's two airstrips on Jan. 5 after an aircraft belonging to Aerovias DAP (V5) landing gear malfunctions during landing; there were no passengers on the flight.

Delays and cancellations at SCL are possible over the coming hours.
