Lingering flight disruptions are possible at Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka Jan. 9 following a security incident. Airport officials closed all runways for about an hour after an individual entered a restricted area at around 09:00. Authorities have detained the individual involved in the security breach. Approximately seven flights were rerouted to nearby airports, and several other flights were reportedly delayed.
