At least two explosions were reported at the Counter Terrorism Department building in Swat's Kabal area April 24. Conflicting reports indicate the incident may have left as many as 8 people killed and 20 others injured. The cause of the blasts remained immediately unclear. No group has as yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
Authorities will maintain a heightened security posture across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province as a precaution. Additional explosions cannot be ruled out. Associated localized transport and business disruptions may occur.
Swat is located approximately 109 km (68 km) northeast of Peshawar
