Ongoing ground staff strike at Toronto-Pearson International Airport to continue until further notice; minor disruptions possible

Ground staff at Toronto-Pearson International Airport (YYZ) have voted to continue a strike that has been ongoing since late July. So far, the strike has not had a major impact on operations at the airport, although flight and service disruptions remain possible.

The striking workers - including baggage handlers and cabin cleaners - are employed by Swissport, which provides services to numerous airlines at YYZ including: Transat, Sunwing, Cathay Pacific, KLM, Lufthansa, Lot Polish, Air France, British Airways, Fly Jamaica, Carribean Etihad, Philippine, Turkish, Egypt Air, Jet, Cubana, Pakistan, China Eastern, Eva, Saudia, Hainan, Azores, Aer Lingus, TAP, Brussels, Alitalia, Austrian, El Al, WOW, Interjet, and Avianca.
