Localized travel has normalized on Sunday, October 8 following the a collision involving a car near the Natural History Museum in London on Saturday. Officials have determined that the crash was not terror-related. The incident resulted in the temporary closure of Exhibition Road in South Kensington, and a lockdown at museums on Exhibition Road. All museums and attractions in London – including the National History Museum and neighboring Victoria and Albert Museum – will be open as usual on Sunday.
On a separate note, the Royal Parks Half Marathon will be held at Hyde Park on Sunday, October 8. Heavy traffic, temporary road closures and travel disruption should be expected in central London throughout the day.
Context
Police responding to the incident at the Natural History Museum restrained and arrested a man on suspicion of dangerous driving. Nine people, including the driver, were taken to hospital. The Met Police have said that none of the injuries sustained were thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
