Warning

Event

On Wednesday, September 20, the British Airline Pilots Association (Balpa), the union representing Thomas Cook pilots, confirmed that a 24-hour strike will take place on Saturday, September 23, starting at 03:00 (local time). According to Balpa leaders, attempts to resolve the ongoing wage dispute with Thomas Cook management have been unsuccessful.

As a result, 49 flights across 11 airports in the United Kingdom, including Manchester (MAN), London-Gatwick (LGW), London-Stansted (STN), and Birmingham (BHX) international airports, will be affected by delays and/or cancelations on Saturday. Further disruptions across the Thomas Cook service network are also possible.

The union has threatened to stage additional strikes on Friday, September 29, and Friday, October 6, if an agreement is not met.

Advice
