Paraguay: Anti-World Bank protest in Asunción July 17

The OTEP SN teacher union is holding a demonstration in front of the Ministry of Finance building in the capital Asunción on Tuesday, July 17, to protest a recent deal made between the government and the World Bank. The demonstration will likely remain peaceful, although low-level clashes and other forms of violence cannot be ruled out. Further anti-World Bank protests are possible in the coming days and weeks.
