Afghanistan: Suicide bombing wounds one in Bagrami district July 20

A suicide bombing attack wounded one person in Bagrami district (Kabul province) on Friday, July 20. The assailant reportedly detonated his explosive charge at around 12:30 (local time) after police identified and prevented him from reaching his intended target, a mosque in the Qala-i-Numan area. Security forces cordoned off the site of the blast following the attack. No claim of responsibility was immediately reported. Additional militant attacks are possible in the area in the near-term.
