Flooding continues in the Manila region and elsewhere as of Tuesday, August 14. At least six people have died in recent days and tens of thousands of people have been evacuated; over 1 million people have been impacted in total. Four of the deaths occurred in the capital region and two in the northern provinces of Zambales and Benguet. Nationwide, 400,000 people have been displaced by monsoon rain and recent storms, including Typhoon Yagi which departed the Philippines on August 11.
