Philippines: 6 killed in three different shootings
Six people lose their life in shootings since September 3 in Cagayan, Zamboanga City and Quezon

Between September 3 and September 5, six people died in shootings in Cagayan (north), Zamboanga City (south east) and Quezon city (north of Manila). In the first case, the victim was shot in the morning by unidentified assailants on a motorbike in Barangay San Gabriel, Tuguegarao, Cagayan. The second victim was killed while driving in Barangay Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City. The last victim was gunned down in a karaoke bar in Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City, when six unidentified men entered and opened fire.
Police have yet to determine the motives for the various killings.
Context
Crime levels are high in the Philippines, and although foreigns nationals are usually not targeted, they have been caught up in some deadly incidents in the past.

As a reminder for individuals present in the Philippines, the authorities advise foreign nationals against all travel to western and central Mindanao and the Sulu archipelago because of terrorist activity and clashes between the military and insurgent groups.
