Ongoing thunderstorms in the northern Midwest prompted the US National Weather Service (NWS) to issue several flash flood warnings for Wisconsin and Iowa on the evening (local time) of Wednesday, September 19 and extending into the morning of Thursday, September 20. The warnings are in effect for Grant county (southwestern Wisconsin) and Wright and Franklin counties (north central Iowa). Iowa emergency authorities reported flooded roads near Dows, including portions of Interstate 35 between mile markers 151 and 175. Flash flooding is possible through the entirety of northern Iowa, southern Minnesota, and southwestern Wisconsin. Transportation delays are possible.
