UK: Weekly Saturday Northern Rail strikes through December /update 2

Employees of Northern Rail (a.k.a. Arriva Rail North) are planning to continue to hold weekly 24-hour strikes every Saturday through December 29 (i.e. November 10, 17, 24 and December 1, 8, 15, 22, 29), as part of a long-standing dispute. The rail company has announced that it will only run approximately 30 percent of services on November 10, with disruptions particularly severe before 09:00 and after 18:00 (local time). Rail operations will be fully suspended on certain lines. Similar disruptions are to be anticipated on subsequent strike days.
