Rocket sirens are blaring in Israeli areas around the Gaza Strip, including in the Eshkol regional council, as of the night (local time) of Sunday, November 11. The flare-up reportedly comes after Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed a Hamas military commander in a special operation in the Gaza Strip. As of 23:20, it was unclear if Palestinian rockets had fallen in Israel and if there were any resultant casualties; at least two missiles had been intercepted by the Iron Dome as of 23:27. Israeli schools near the Gaza Strip have canceled classes on Monday, November 12, due to the cross-border rocket fire; individuals are only permitted to go to work on Monday if they have access to a bomb shelter. Additional Palestinian rocket attacks are possible on Israeli settlements near the Gaza Strip over the coming hours.
