Jordan: Inclement weather conditions forecast in coming week /update 2

Local meteorological authorities indicate on Wednesday, November 14, that inclement weather conditions are forecast in Jordan over the coming days. Heavy rains are forecast, notably in southern regions of the country, and associated flooding and landslides are possible in affected areas.

Consequent transportation disruptions are to be expected and power outages and infrastructure damages are possible.

Individuals in affected areas are advised to monitor local weather forecasts, prepare for transportation disruptions, and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities. In the event of flooding, keep in mind that driving or walking through running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
