Weather alerts and transportation disruptions in the eastern US November 15; monitor local weather reports

Adverse weather conditions - including storms, heavy rain, snow, and ice - are forecast for large swathes of the eastern US on Thursday, November 15. Flight disruptions are expected, including at airports serving the northeastern cities of Baltimore (BWI), Boston (BOS), Hartford (BDL), New York-Newark (JFK, LGA, EWR), Philadelphia (PHL), Providence (PVD), and Washington, DC (DCA, IAD). Rail and road disruptions - notably hazardous driving conditions - are also to be anticipated. The disruptions could potentially continue into the coming days.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued various warnings for winter storms and flooding for all or parts of the following states: Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.
