Public servants hold a strike in Tunis on November 22; associated disruptions underway

Around 650,000 workers are taking part in a general strike on Thursday, November 22, over low wages. Public services - including at schools, universities, municipal governments, and ministries - have been suspended, and hospitals are currently staffed with minimal personnel. Associated transportation disruptions are also expected, notably in the capital Tunis where a related protest will take place at Bardo Square, in front of the Parliament, beginning at 11:30 (local time).
