Israel/Palestinian Terr.: Protests expected in Ramallah through December 1

Protesters denouncing the Palestinian Authority's perceived inability to manage the social security system and demanding the repeal of the social security law are expected to gather daily at Al-Manara Square at 18:00 (local time) in Ramallah (West Bank) through Saturday, December 1. Thousands of people reportedly gathered to protest on Thursday, November 29; a similarly large demonstration is to be expected on Friday, November 30. A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are to be anticipated near the demonstration site.
