France: Energy workers to strike nationwide December 13

Trade unions call for energy sector to hold a nationwide 48-hour strike starting December 13; associated commercial and power disruptions possible

The General Confederation of Labor called for the energy sector to hold a 48-hour strike throughout the country from Thursday, December 14, reportedly in support of the "yellow vest" movement. Associated protests are possible, as well as disruptions in commercial activity and potential electricity outages.

As a reminder, significant disruptions are ongoing throughout the country due to protests and blockades organized by the "yellow vest" movement.
