France: Nationwide climate rallies to be held on March 15-16
Climate change rallies to take place in Paris and other cities on March 15-16; associated transportation disruptions expected

Demonstrations are planned nationwide on Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16, to call for greater action to combat climate change. On Friday, organizers in Paris have called for a march from Place du Panthéon to Les Invalides via Montparnasse beginning at 13:00 (local time). A second march, known as "La marche du siècle," is slated to take place on Saturday from Place de l'Opéra to Place de la République beginning at 14:00 (local time).
Additional demonstrations are expected in other cities nationwide on March 15-16. Demonstrators will rally at Allées Jules Guesdes in Toulouse from 16:00 on Friday, while events are planned on Saturday in Nantes at the Miroir d'eau from 10:00; in Nice at Place Guynemer from 11:00; in Bordeaux at Place de la Bourse from 13:30; in Lille at Grand-Place from 14:30; in Marseille at the Vieux Port from 14:00; in Rennes at Bibliothèque des Champs Libres from 14:00; in Strasbourg at Place de l'Esplanade from 14:00; and in Lyon at the Palais de Justice from 15:00.
As a reminder, significant disruptions are possible in Paris and other cities on March 16 due to planned protests organized by the "Yellow vest" movement.
