The Bureau of Meteorology issued a cyclone warning for areas from Jardine River to Cape Flattery. Rainfall of up to 25 cm (10 in) may fall in areas of Queensland and strong winds are expected. Flash flooding and associated disruptions, including the potential closure of State Route 81 and flight cancelations, are possible.

Advice

Individuals in the affected areas are advised to monitor local weather reports, adhere to instructions issued by local authorities, anticipate severe weather, flooding, and power and transportation disruptions, including road closures and flight delays and cancelations, and remember that walking or driving through running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) is enough to knock over an adult.
