Demonstrations and burning tires have been reported in Jérémie (Grand'Anse department), Carradeux, and Gerald Bataille (Ouest department) on Friday, March 22. US diplomatic authorities have advised individuals to avoid the affected areas.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are possible near the demonstration sites over the coming hours. Similar protests are possible over the near term.
