Mauritania: Opposition demonstration planned in Nouakchott April 11

Supporters of the opposition parties have called for a demonstration to take place in the capital city of Nouakchott on Thursday, April 11. The march has been arranged in relation to the organisation of the Nationial Independant Electoral Commission (CENI) ahead of the June Presidential elections. An increased security presence and related traffic disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the march; associated violence cannot be ruled out.
