Lebanon: Students protest planned in Beirut June 12

Students of the Lebanese University are calling for a protest to be held in Riad al-Solh in Beirut on Wednesday, June 12, to denounce the decrease in the public university's budget, which led to a strike observed by the university professors since Monday, May 6. The students are expected to gather at 16:00 (local time).

Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are expected near the demonstration site.
