Members of the Rail, Maritime, and Transport (RMT) union working with South Western Railway will hold a strike from Tuesday, June 18, to Saturday, June 22. The strike will last through the end of the Royal Ascot horse race in Berkshire. Significant service disruptions are expected; no service is expected between Bristol Temple Meads and Southampton Central stations and a reduction in services is planned across the remainder of stations, including some areas where buses will replace trains.
