Employees of Rome's public transportation company ATAC postponed their strike, originally scheduled for Thursday, June 20, scheduled now for Tuesday, June 25. The USB union announced the strike due to health and safety complaints by workers. Bus, tram, metro, and light rail workers are expected to participate in the strike, which will begin at 08:30 (local time) until 17:00 and again from 20:00 until the end of the day. Significant congestion is expected during periods of service from 05:30 to 08:30 and from 17:00 to 20:00 along with increased demand for taxi and increased traffic congestion.
