Nigeria: Seven-day protest in Abuja and Lagos June 30–July 7

Calls for seven days of protest in Lagos and Abuja June 20-July 7; heightened security presence and transportation disruptions expected

A seven-day protest organized by a popular Nigerian musician, is slated to take place in Abuja and Lagos from Sunday, June 30, through Sunday, July 7, to demand justice for those who were reportedly raped by pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the founder of the Commonwealth of Zion assembly (COZA) church. Demonstrations will take place outside COZA churches, Police Headquarters, and Ministry of justice in both cities.

A heightened security presence and significant transportation disruptions are to be anticipated in the vicinity of the protests.
