On June 29, Cameroonian nationals protesting President Biya's presence in Switzerland clashed with security forces when protesters tried to reach the InterContinental Hotel. The Swiss police used tear gas, water cannons, and stun grenades to disperse the crowd. Earlier in the week on June 25, Cameroonian protesters forced their way into the hotel and clashed with President Biya’s personal security detachment.
