A police investigation is ongoing in Sydney’s Central Business District (CBD) after a man allegedly stabbed one person near King and Clarence streets at approximately 14:00 (local time) on Tuesday, August 13. Members of the public detained the suspect before police officers arrived at the scene. The suspect has been arrested and authorities announced there is no longer a threat to the public. However, road closures remain in effect around the area of the incident as of 15:30. King street is closed between Clarence and York streets, as well as, northbound traffic between Market and King streets. Public transportation and traffic disruptions are ongoing in the area.
