Kenya: Heavy rainfall forecast across Kenya October 23-28

Event

Heavy rainfall is forecast to hit the country from Thursday, October 23, until Monday, October 28. Heavy rainfall of more than 20mm is expected over the coastal, South Eastern, North Eastern, Western and Central regions, including in the capital Nairobi. The Central, Northeast, and coastal regions are expected to be the most affected.

Associated flooding and transportation and commercial disruptions, including power outages, are possible in affected areas over the coming days.

Individuals in affected areas are advised to monitor local weather reports, confirm road conditions prior to setting out, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
