A magnetic improvised explosive device (MIED) detonation was reported in the Wazir Abad area (PD10) of Kabul around 18:00 (local time) on Monday, October 28. The number of associated casualties was not immediately reported; no militant group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are to be expected in the area over the coming hours. Avoid the site of the attack.
