Event

A forest fire broke out near the Mevaseret Zion suburb of Jerusalem on Wednesday, November 20, prompting officials to issue evacuation orders for some residents in the area. Firefighters from Tel Aviv and Beit Shemesh were reportedly working to contain the blaze as of Wednesday afternoon (local time). Significant transportation delays were reported on Route 1, the highway connecting the capital with the central region, as the fire spread in its vicinity on Wednesday.
