Tropical Storm Sarah (Fung-Wong) likely to affect Isabela, Cagayan, Aurora, and Quezon from November 21-22; cyclone wind signal n°1 raised in Babuyan islands

According to forecasts produced by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Tropical Storm Sarah (also known as Fung-Wong) will likely cause light to moderate rain (with isolated heavy rain) in Isabela, Cagayan, Aurora and the northern part of Quezon through Friday, November 22. A tropical cyclone wind signal (TCWS) N°1 has been issued on Thursday, November 21, over the Batanes Islands. Associated flashfloods, landslides, and other disruptions may occur.
As of 11:00 (local time) on Thursday, Sarah was located approximately 275 km (170 mi) east of Basco (Batanes) and moving west northwest at a speed of 10 kph (5 mph) with maximum sustained winds of 100 kph (62 mph). According to PAGASA, the Tropical Storm is expected to weaken on Friday, before leaving the Philippines Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday, November 23.

Avoid walking or driving through floodwaters; 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
