A terror attack in Tunis killed five security officers and one civilian on Friday, March 6. The attack was reportedly carried out by two suicide bombers on a motorcycle and targeted a security outpost just nearby the US Embassy, which was evacuated following the attack. The US Embassy is located in Tunis' Les Berges Du Lac II neighborhood. No group has yet taken responsibility for the attack.

A heightened security presence is expected to continue in the coming hours. Transportation disruptions have been reported. Authorities have advised to avoid the area.
